My impression is that PDF, PS and SVG surfaces start out as white, while xlib surfaces have whatever that was in the memory that got allocated. Is this correct, or are any of the vector-based surfaces transparent, it's just that my viewer renders them white? Can I rely on this in my code? Thanks, Tamas
