I had no end of problems trying to build Cairo and/or pango with the options I wanted in the presence of a system that included macports. Furthermore, what I did manage to build ended up with buried macports dependencies. In the end, purging macports was a net win for me.</font></div></blockquote><br><div>I've seen a gtk-osx project out there that is all about building gtk for osx, as well as gtk derived apps.
