This isn't quite right, I've had make check turned on for a little while and 
it ran successfully on 2010-04-28, 2010-04-27, 2010-04-19, 2010-04-14 and 
2010-04-13

Once I noticed that the reported CRC value is what we checked for until commit 
2d65fb033b57c701e2c16747470f86bda1d861e02 changed the expected CRC value, it 
became clear this is due to the test programs picking up the installed pixman 
library, rather than the version which has just been built, which I'm guessing 
is some cygwin-specific libtool bug...
