Incorrect glyph positioning on 1.5 branch

I've applied the patch to cairo 1.5.2 after some fuzzing, but it seems I've run
into the same glyph layout issue Sylvain encountered. 

I've attached a screenshot from my GNOME appearance pane. It was the only
location I could find where the the labels are large enough to avoid completely
clipping the text. It appears from this that the vertical positioning is
significantly off, but the horizontal positioning is only wrong by a few pixels
on some glyphs.
