So I'm trying to figure out how to apply this patch. I will say I know almost
nothing about Linux, but I am a physics/astrophysics major, and most of our
programs are written in Linux. It's been a helluva ride getting my program to
run in Linux period, and now part of it requires running in 8 bit. But every
time I try to start an 8-bit window, I get the Cairo error. If this patch can
let me run my 8-bit, it will be a life saver. can anybody tell me what I do
with this patch to make it work?
