We're having problems when two cached cairo surfaces are painted on ontop of
another. This issue affects some people fairly randomly but others see no
problem.

More information and discussion can be found in the gnome bugzilla entry, we
believe that there is some driver issue which is apparent only on certain
configurations with certain graphics chips.

We have so far been unable to lock down the issue although a few work arounds
have been proposed. 

I'm filing this bug here purely as a note to the cairo project, I do not
imagine an immediate fix will be provided but some investigation by cairo and X
hackers would help tremendously in tracking down the issue.
