Summary: Firefox crashes when invoked with a remote display.
           Product: cairo
           Version: 1.4.14
          Platform: x86 (IA32)
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: image backend
        AssignedTo: cworth at cworth.org
        ReportedBy: jc at lht.com
         QAContact: cairo-bugs at cairographics.org

Error: Cairo 1.4.14 does not yet support the requested image format:
 Depth: 8
 Alpha Mask: 0x00000000
 Red Mask: 0x00000000
 Green Mask: 0x00000000

This error displays when I try to run firefox 2.0.0.12 using a remote X display
running on my laptop. Other X operations seem to work fine in fact I try to
invoke firefox from an xterm client.

Operating system is RedHat Fedora Core 7.
