The original problem was resolved by the defensive manner in which stdint types
are now defined in the absence of stdint.h. The second problem is a very
bizzarre issue that I'm writing off as a compiler bug... Please can you try
compiling the current stable version (1.8.0) on your platform - I don't believe
we have anybody who regularly reports build/test issues from HP-UX so I fear
our support becoming stale. Thanks.
