I cannot clone the cairo and pixman repos using the url's given on the cairo
website (i.e. git://anongit.freedesktop.org/cairo and
git://anongit.freedesktop.org/pixman).

The cairo repo can be cloned by using http://anongit.freedesktop.org/cairo
(replacing "git" with "http"), but this doesn't work for pixman, as that url
apparently is invalid.
