Does that make a difference? The unit tests are run by cairo-test-suite and
AFAIK it is single-threaded.

Without any patches, just current master:

(And both device-offset and mask are among the failed ones)
So, since it already fails before this patch, I'd say to just ignore it. Also,
since the test suite is single-threaded (except for the pthread-* tests), this
patch shouldn't make a difference anyway.</pre>
