[cairo] Good news/bad news on OS X

I just thought I'd tell you that I've successfully built and installed
Cairo on OS X --without-x. I also ran the PS/basket demo successfully,
although the makefile should use pkg-config for libpng as well as
cairo. One thing I wasn't sure about -- is the output in basket.png
supposed to be the same as basket.ps? I got very good output in
basket.ps but basket.png was not so nice. It seems to be missing the
outline. I'll attach it so you can see what I mean.

Interesting. Reading the code I think that the basket is supposed to
be red with a black outline, but I end up with it rendered cyan with a
blue outline in the .ps file and, light greenish with a strange
pixelated green/yellow partial outline that might actually be a botched
attempt at anti-aliasing in the .png file.

Hmm... byte-order problems perhaps?

Cheers,
