Looks like you're still here.  Work on Xr has been sidetracked for a 
while; Carl wrote a nifty Ricochet Robots client using Gtk+ and Xsvg/Xr/Xc 
which demonstrates how those parts work together.  You can see that in CVS
at keithp.com (librr and grrobot).

I'm still stuck thinking about how to integrate text APIs into Xr so that 
font selection, transformation and text rendering all look as clean as the 
rest of the Xr API.

And, the big problem we've got right now is the name -- Xr/Xc are both 
cross platform rendering libraries but their names are causing quite a bit 
of confusion.  If anyone has suggestions for what we might call the 
libraries (long names are OK), we should take this opportunity to get the 
library function prefixes changed before people start moving them into 
real application environments.
