[Cairo] Proposed dual-matrix cairo text drawing interface

Under my proposal, a "vertical" font such as mentioned by Keith would require 
that the text transform be rotated so the X axis goes down the page. The fact 
that the font is vertical would be given by something imbedded in the font 
name or by a device-specific interface to select the font.

Here is a letter 'T' in a vertically rotated font, the * indicates the origin 
and the origin with x_advance added to it:
