Jeff,

I just wanted to point out that the new svg2png program demonstrates
this usage.

It can be checked out from CVS, (along with all of its dependencies)
via:

cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs at cairographics.org:/cvs/cairo co svg2png libsvg-cairo libsvg cairo libpixman
