It is not hard to get it running, it might only take a day or two. You
may be surprised at how fast it is.

You could make a borderless, maximized, transparent root window. That
will make it look like the native windows are mixing with the X ones.

How is WGL glitz Cairo performance comparing to other Cairo implementations?
