[cairo] Tech help!!!

hi:
  I am chinese boy, and I am a progammer in beijing, I am busying with a 
project refer some graphics by using cairographics, now , I encounter some 
troubles and puzzles in the developing, so I want get some help from 
suggestion you give me.
  one trouble in the developing is giving the following pic in the 
accessoies, see the pic ,
you will see some lines assembling some colorful patterns that is unsolved 
, because the lines you note assembled by one single simple pattern, the 
whole line overlapped with repeating the simple pattern, whereas, I can't 
get that effect by using cairographics, it shows that the single simple 
pattern isn't along the line way, it may layout across the line so as to 
upright the line that require assembling patterns, so I want to solve the 
problem in order to achieve the effect like the pic by using cairographics, 
could you give some suggestion about it? thaknk you!.
