[cairo] Non Ascii output

Ok, really sorry,
My strings were not encoded with UFT 8 ... 
 
Objet : [cairo] Non Ascii output
 
I have a problem with cairo_show_text() in my Xlib Surface.
I was displaying ascii strings without any problem, but I am trying to
display accentuated characters and it doesn't actually display
characters.
 
I found on the forum a post written in 2005

I am embarrassed because I must use UTF8 and Lithuanian characters... 
Is there a solution?
