Thanks Carl for landing this (and for all your heroic debugging sessions
about the locking bug).

There is another blocker for 1.4.0, that is, the extend-reflect case
seems to hit a bug in some xorg drivers (if fbComposite_8888x8888mmx
that is) that causes an infinite loop.

I'll try to debug and fix it tonight.
