[cairo] font problem with scale

Are you using Pango?  I guess you are, and this is an unfortunate and
known bug in pangocairo right now:

I try to fix it this week.  In the mean time, what you can do is to
avoid scale and put the scale in the font size/matrix instead...  Sorry
about that...
