[cairo] rectangle with one pixel width

hi,
iam drawing a rectangle using cairo, but it always takes two pixels. Is
there a way to draw the rectangle that takes exactly one pixel.

i tried to change the line width (cairo_set_line_width(cr, 0.03) but this
only seems to fade the color and not  change the number of pixels taken by
the rectangle.


any inputs would be greatly helpful.
