[cairo] Color-management in Google Summer of Code 2008

Hi,
I'm a student for the Google Summer of Code, When I see the project [Hard]
Add appropriate color-management support to cairo, I have one question.
 It can convert automatically to blend different content, does it means that
different objects in color spaces is blended?
