[cairo] cairo-demo: license? (xcb demo useful?)

Hi,

I stumbled upon something -- Under what license terms is the cairo-demo
code supposed to be?

Other question: Is the xcb demo included there of any use still or
should I avoid looking at it entirely?  (Any other cairo-xcb example
pointers are welcome.)
