Very good question. Some of it (metrics & raster & path sharing) will
be done in cairo-scaled-font and is the right thing to do for all
backends. The rest (rasterizing using cairo) depends on the backend
quality.
Would be great if people could run the test on win32 and quartz and send
the output.
