I would like to know what you guys think about the Framewave project?
(framewave.sourceforge.net)

Currently planning a cairo-enhancement library targeted to python
users but implemented in C. Framewave provides already optimized image
filters and other operations (e.g.image flipping for
opengl, pygame, etc.) I need for my project. I also plan to add some
kind spatial index ( quadtree/r-tree ) and jpg loading to the cairo
enhancement library. I did look at some other libraries more known in
the free software world (e.g. gegl) but either could not get them to
compile on windows, too tied to some framework or unmaintained.
Suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
