[cairo] autogen problems with pixman

Thanks for fixing the problem I was having with autogen, Behdad.
Unfortunately I just ran into another one, this time with pixman, and
on a different machine. This machine is older, running Fedora Core 3,
but autoconf is 2.59 so I guess in theory it should work. (I'm not
very familiar with autoconf scripts.)

The error that I get is:
./configure: line 20100: PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG: command not found
./configure: line 20102: syntax error near unexpected token `gtk+-2.0,'
./configure: line 20102: `   PKG_CHECK_EXISTS(gtk+-2.0,
enable_gtk=yes, enable_gtk=no)'

Looking at configure, I do indeed see a naked PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG just
sitting on its own line; I imagine something must have gone wrong in
generating the configure script. I can send the whole thing if it
will help. Here's the output from ./autogen.sh --prefix=<path>
--disable-shared:
