Hi Paulo,

Other than poking Steve to see if he would reconsider his position I
can only think about you applying the patch yourself. Although that
patch was done to make it work with VS8 for Win32 so I don't know if
more modifications are needed in your case, if you find out that more
changes are needed

At this point I'm seriously considering maintaining my own branch for this :/
