Is it possible to improve the cairo web site some by adding links from the API
reference manual and the archives back to other key cairo pages.
Here are the from pages:
http://lists.cairographics.org/archives/cairo/
http://lists.cairographics.org/archives/cairo/2010-August/author.html
http://lists.cairographics.org/archives/cairo/2010-August/thread.html
(basically every page in the archive)
http://cairographics.org/manual/
http://cairographics.org/manual/index-all.html
http://cairographics.org/manual/cairo-paths.html
(basically every page in the api reference manual)
The to pages (the links) would be the top three:
http://cairographics.org/ - main page
http://cairographics.org/documentation/ - docs
http://cairographics.org/contact/ - contact
This is a pretty simple change that would help site navigation a lot. Except for
special web pages designed to be printed instead of navigated (for example, a
printable map), "dead end" pages that don't link back to the main content are
universally frowned on. Look on any popular commercial website. yahoo.
craigslist. amazon. They all have helpful links to keep the user from getting
stuck.
If the web auto-generation software used to make the api reference pages or
archive pages doesn't allow this, that's pretty pitiful.
Thanks,
Daniel
