The main ones I have heard of are named color profiles (the SVG 1.2 Color module has added support for those to SVG) where an ICC file contains colors identified by strings, specific multi-channel (probably device-n) and artist/print house/user created proof profiles.

With eminently affordable hardware like the ColorMunki becoming common, the latter profiles have become far more prevalent.
