[cairo] Complex utf-8 Indic Script Rendering Example

I am looking for a complext utf8 Indic script rendering example.
I am using this example code at http://pastie.org/1028286
The text I want to render is in line 80.
The fact is it doesn't show the image correctly.
Correct format is সিরাজুদ্দৌলা
But I see its garbled.
I am completely new to Cairo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
