There is support for bovine snapshots as used by PDF to only emit an image
once for a document, as well as mime-data support to replace those images
with alternate compressed representations, i.e. jpeg;

It's done, hence no one feels the need to discussion it further. ;-)
Apart from Behdad who would like us to compare every pattern to
prior snapshots in order to provide file size reduction for naive users.
