[cairo] Cairo with Open GL backend

Hello,

I am trying to understand cairo with openGL backend.
Can anyone send me a sample application which uses cairo with openGL
backend?

If by simply using the OpenGL backend for cairo , will the images rendered
be hardware accelerated??
