[cairo] Cairo within a Qt application?

They are orthogonal. There is no obstacle of using cairo in a Qt program.
Why would there be?

Whether you can use cairo to draw on a Qt surface is a different question,
which I'll let someone else answer. But obviously you can create an image
surface and draw on it with cairo and then use Qt methods for placing the
image on a Qt drawable.
