Thanks for finding the time to review and merge this patchset (and also
for your improvements)!

Improving the stack is, of course, of prime importance. Unfortunately,
in the embedded world there is a lack of free drivers, so we can't work
on them directly. We will, however, promote the use of cairo traces with
the gles2 backend as test cases for the various vendors' 3D driver
stacks.

I will personally focus on more high level optimizations, additionally
guided by observations made further down the stack. So, if while working
at the driver level someone discovers an issue that is worth being fixed
in the cairo-gl backend level, I would be glad to take a look.
