[cairo] Example of simple rotation of image using Cairo/GTK?

Hello all,

I am very new to Cairo and fairly new to GTK+. I need to write a  
simple application using GTK+ with Cairo to animate an image by  
rotating a PNG.

I've got some code written that displays the image, but it doesn't  
rotate. My code can be found here: http://pastebin.com/SRbJZPbr

I would be grateful for a simple example demonstrating how this is  
done. I have no idea what I'm missing...
