I'm going to do a brown paper-bag release of 1.12.6 this w/e.

You can also use xscope or wireshark, I'm just more familiar with xtrace
from http://xtrace.alioth.debian.org/

  xtrace -o cairo-bug.txt my-app

You may have to supply 'xtrace -n' if it fails to find xauth.
