[cairo] Crash in CAIRO_MUTEX_LOCK on Windows

Howdy -

I've built Cairo, with freetype support, on Windows 7 using VS2010. I'm getting a crash in CAIRO_MUTEX_LOCK (entry point was cairo_ft_font_face_scaled_font_create
, I think). Don't *really* need thread support right now, so I was able to work around this by specifying "-DCAIRO_NO_MUTEX=1" for the compilation. It would be nice to have mutexes working. Any ideas about how I might track this down?
