[cairo] Status and Documentation of CairoScript?

Hello colleagues,

i'm (trying) contributing to the cairo binding for the julia language
https://github.com/JuliaLang/Cairo.jl
Recently i adapted the CairoScriptSurface and then was looking at the
output in Cairo Script.


1) Is there a formal (or non-formal) CairoScript definition?
(I have a background in ps and pdf processing so this looks quite similar
but not fully)
2) This is obviously not promoted as intermediate format. What is the
intended use?
3) Would you recommend for a language binding to include the
cairo-script-interpreter also? Or is this clearly for cairo development
only?
