[cairo] Anyone currently maintaining the python cairo bindings?

Hey everyone! So I came across this ancient ticket while I was making a 
few graphics sandboxes for me to play in -

I was wondering if there's anyone currently maintaining the python 
bindings that'd like to do that. If not, I'd like to try to do the code 
for it.

I'd really love to be able to play with mesh gradients through the 
python bindings.
