Thanks for the review. I pushed a new commit with comments addressed.

On Fedora 8 grayscale antialising is used instead of subpixel because freetype
is not compiled with FT_CONFIG_OPTION_SUBPIXEL_RENDERING. Would be good to find
a solution for this. This may regress the subpixel antialiasing test as a side
effect.

I'll write some new tests for the API, something close to text-antialias-XXX.c
tests.
