[cairo] Cairographics on win32

Hi all

I'm most pleased to see the discussion here of cairographics on Win32.
I am the author of a an application framework, currently approaching
beta stage, and I have been on the lookout for a high quality cross
platform graphics rendering library, cairographics from what I've seen
looks a good match with
 - very complete coverage (powerful rendering, vector graphics,
bitmapped images, fonts)
 - cross platform (win32, linux, MacOS X)
 - straight C API (I like a lot)
 - small code side
 - few external dependencies

I've had success installing and building the Linux version, but I've
attempted to build on Win32 and not gotten very far, even after using
the patches posted on this list.

Can anyone give me a *really* straightfoward guide to getting
cairographics up and running on Win32 (MSVC)? Ideally without as little
need for installing other software or build tools. Would be much
appreciacted, ta.

My work can be seen at
