I did write “just about”. :) Apps using cairo make for a good
exception to that rule.

Not all pdf to paper workflows go through a postscript interpreter.
I’ve seen reports that type3 fonts (both vector and bitmap) failed
to print correctly when passed through some such flows.

Wider support, when not using a full postscript interpreter.
