It is very easy. We are using some hacks in our rpm generation when X is
required like this :
XDISPLAY=$(i=1; while [ -f /tmp/.X$i-lock ]; do i=$(($i+1)); done; echo
Xvfb :$XDISPLAY &
then you do what need X server
kill $(cat /tmp/.X$XDISPLAY-lock)
