I have looked at goocanvas and wanted to see hippo but had some kind of 
problem compiling it.

I *hope* that when others see my approach they'll see the basic difference 
from other canvases. I am surely doing the drawing and events all wrong, but 
the basic approach is far more animation-oriented than I've seen so far.

Anyway, all talk and no code makes hot air -- so I better get back to it ;)
