People certainly have, but asking them to reply is unlikely to get you
any useful answers. (You're more likely to get no answer or perhaps a
useless, though correct, answer like "yes".)

Instead, to get help with your problem, you should describe the actual
problem you've encountered, and then there's a chance someone could
actually help you.

PS. You might find the following as good reading as you try to ask
questions for help:

How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
	http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

	How to Report Bugs Effectively
	http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html

Here's a short excerpt from the first article. Please follow as many
of these suggestions as apply to your situation (the first in
particular):

Be precise and informative about your problem

	    * Describe the symptoms of your problem or bug carefully
	      and clearly.

	    * Describe the environment in which it occurs (machine, OS,
	      application, whatever). Provide your vendor's
distribution and release level (e.g.: "Fedora Core 4",
	      "Slackware 9.1", etc.).

	    * Describe the research you did to try and understand the
problem before you asked the question.

	    * Describe the diagnostic steps you took to try and pin
down the problem yourself before you asked the question.

	    * Describe any possibly relevant recent changes in your
	      computer or software configuration.
