We haven't submitted for cairo as a SoC project. And I think today's
the deadline, so somebody would have to step up quick to do
this. Anyone want to do that?

There are probably plenty of interesting cairo things that could be
projects, and color-management is certainly one area.

One way to tackle that without having to find a cairo person to run an
SoC application process would be to submit to an existing project like
inkscape for color management, but planning to do most/all of the work
within cairo.

Another project to look to for cairo SoC opportunities is
Xorg. Anything that helps pixman, (like higher-bit-depth image
rendering), can directly help the X server. And anything that improves
cairo provides indirect help for X in some general sense.

I hope that's a helpful response,

Good luck!
