[cairo] MDK Curvy Blues

Hi,

I was reading this article from 2007:

and at the end of the post the author states, "This is my current approach
towards building a new OpenGL-based Cairo backend."

Does Cairo rasterize curves using this technique?

If the above is true, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right
direction.
