Thanks Stuart and Suzuki,

Cairo has a rich test suite, but TBH it's of limited usefulness in
judging new patches.  That said, I do think that there is a lot of room
for improving testing for Cairo and definitely encourage creativity in
exploring CI possibilities.

What has been most effective in practice at ascertaining patch quality
(and spotting bad patches) historically has been peer review.  I suspect
improvements to the (human) patch review process will net far higher
bang for the buck, than (automated) CI work.  But CI and review are
synergistic so improvements to either will be a win.  There are a number
of MRs and bugs-with-patches worth looking at.

One of the best things anyone can do to help with Cairo maintenance is
to review, try out, comment on, and ultimately land patches with MRs:

Another good way to help is to review the bug reports and create patches
to fix the problems.  Or, if there are patches suggested, to review them
and turn them into MRs for getting landed:
